Golf Croquet Association Croquet
Rules for any sport are obliged to be comprehensive as they have to cover every eventuality. Hence, the seemingly complex nature of the current Red Book for Golf Croquet and Yellow Book for Association Croquet.
Any aspiring referee or any player interested in the rules, may find the following simplified trifolds useful.
Use this link for a simplified guide to the key rules of Golf Croquet. If printed double sided it will form a useful pocket sized A4 trifold. It should be used in conjunction with the WCF Rules of Golf Croquet. This trifold will point you to the relevant section of the Red Book. It has been approved by the GC Rules Committee and features on the Golf Croquet page of Croquet England’s website.
A similar guide for Association Croquet is available as a trifold, but an extra, optional insert is also provided to cover three cases: wiring situations; what happens if a ball jams in a hoop; and the summary of rulings for adjudicating close positions. As above, this should be used with the Laws of Association Croquet, Yellow Book.
